I would be really grateful if someone could help me with a big problem i am having with the blu ray drive on my sony vaio PC.
I live in the uk and the model number of the vaio is VGN-AR11S.
The pc was upgraded to vista as soon as vista came out.
About 3 weeks ago, i had a problem with the driver, and now when i go to device manager, even though the blu ray drive is recognized, the driver is missing.
Whenever i start my pc it says that it has found the drive, and microsoft tries to install the driver, but is always unable to find it.
I would post a screenshot, but can't see anywhere to upload screenshots on the forum.

Sony Vaio Blu-ray Laptop

Will the Sony VAIO laptop Bluray player/Writer work after installing Windows 10? It is extremely important as i store some data on bluray writable discs. It requires a licence from WINDVD BD which I have as part of purchasing a laptop with a bulit in bluray player/writer. Any and all help will be appreciated. Kind Regards. A little research indicates that your Sony laptop should have been bundled with WinDVD BD which should be capable of playing Blu-Rays. If it is installed, then try updating the drivers for it in the following link. The updates are in the WinDVD Software section towards the bottom of the page.
